Taraneh is a seasoned business leader with deep expertise in energy markets and sustainability strategies. She is recognized for her leadership style shaped by her multi-cultural background.

Taraneh is the incoming Chief Commercial Officer at Paratus, a (re)insurer underwriting energy price risk. Until June 2025, she served as Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Systemiq, a sustainability-focused advisory and investment firm. From 2021 to 2024, she was Systemiq’s Managing Partner, guiding strategic growth initiatives. Prior to joining Systemiq, Taraneh spent over 25 years in finance, holding senior roles in the Commodities divisions of major investment institutions including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Hartree.

She began her career in international development at the United Nations. Taraneh also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Greencoat UK Wind plc, the UK’s largest listed renewable energy infrastructure fund.
