Michael is a seasoned and early product manager at some of the world’s most influential consumer technology platforms. He was the first product manager for TikTok based in the United States and helped it transform from a small lipsyncing platform called musical.ly into the global short video platform it is today. Across his more than 7 years at TikTok, Michael oversaw several products and teams across the core experience, creation and integrity and authenticity.

Michael spent the last year helping define personalization for Perplexity. His team developed the systems that make Perplexity one of the best personal assistants in the world. This included leading projects like platform memory and defining how to leverage context, preferences and history to continuously make responses and interactions with Perplexity more valuable.
