Hussain Al Mahmoudi is a leading UAE executive with over two decades of experience driving innovation ecosystems, economic development, advanced technology initiatives, and public-private partnerships across the Middle East and international markets.

As Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK), he was appointed by the Ruler of Sharjah to lead the development of one of the region’s most dynamic innovation and R&D; ecosystems. Under his leadership, SPARK has evolved into a globally connected hub supporting advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, healthcare innovation, sustainability technologies, mobility, logistics, Industry 4.0, and entrepreneurship. Al Mahmoudi has successfully positioned SPARK as a strategic gateway connecting government, academia, industry, startups, and global investors. He has led the attraction of international partnerships and innovation driven investments from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, while advancing Sharjah’s role as a regional centre for research commercialization, emerging technologies, and future industries.

He served as President of the West Asia and North Africa Division of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), strengthening regional and international collaboration between science parks, innovation districts, and technology ecosystems.

Prior to SPARK, Al Mahmoudi served as Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he played a key role in enhancing trade relations, investment attraction, SME development, and international economic partnerships. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership and business development roles with major organizations including ENOC, Royal Dutch utch Shell, Dubai Internet City, and Dubai Holding.

Recognized for his strategic leadership and ecosystem-building expertise, Al Mahmoudi is a frequent speaker at global forums on innovation policy, Al, entrepreneurship, economic transformation, sustainability, and cross-border technology collaboration. He has been instrumental in launching initiatives that support startups empower youth and women in technology, and foster international innovation partnerships between the UAE and global markets. His leadership philosophy centers on building future-ready ecosystems that integrate technology, talent, investment, and policy to accelerate sustainable economic growth and global competitiveness.
