Samuel Lipoff leads the science and product teams at Liminal, the early stage venture studio and fund founded by Temasek Holdings. Prior to Liminal, he’s been a serial entrepreneur and ventures he’s co-founded have been funded by Sequoia Capital and YCombinator.

He studied chemistry and physics at Harvard University as an undergraduate, history and philosophy of science at Cambridge University as a master’s student, and physical chemistry as a PhD student at MIT. He holds a US utility patent, has published several scientific papers, has served on the boards of the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations and the Massachusetts Future Problem Solving Program.

He loves photography, finding exotic sodas and refining his elaborate everyday carry setup.
