Ryan Sarver has been deeply involved in the tech industry since the late 1990s, initially as a self-taught programmer during his college days. His career led him to San Francisco, where he joined Twitter as their 30th employee. Serving various roles including Head of Platform and overseeing BD and Partnerships, Ryan played an instrumental role in shaping Twitter’s platform strategy from 2009 to 2013. His achievements include launching Twitter API, Twitter Firehose, Tweet Button, Embedded Tweets, Twitter Login, and Twitter Publisher Analytics. Furthermore, he successfully managed the integration of Twitter into iOS, LinkedIn, Yahoo, Google, among others.

Ryan transitioned to venture capital in 2013, joining Redpoint Ventures as a General Partner until 2020. During his time there, he primarily focused on early-stage consumer and enterprise software, investing $90M in companies such as Hims & Hers, Telegram, and FLEXE. In 2020, Ryan embarked on a new journey as an independent investor and relocated with his family to Amsterdam amidst the pandemic. As an angel investor, he has made significant investments in innovative companies like Figma, Loom, Shield AI, and Modern Health.
