Lian Boerma is the Chief Product Officer at EWOR, where she aligns her background in deep tech, business strategy, and global education. Joining in 2022 as an early believer in the EWOR’s vision, she architects the technology, curriculum, and community that support the next generation of outlier founders.

She graduated cum laude with a Master’s in Clinical and Molecular Neuroscience from the University of Groningen, conducting her thesis on novel Alzheimer’s medications at Stanford’s famous longevity-research lab led by Prof. Tony Wyss-Coray. She then spent three and a half years on private equity transactions and corporate strategy development at OC&C Strategy Consultants before deciding to follow her passion for human development by completing a joint MBA and Master’s in Education at Stanford University.

Her background in both business and education led her to work on education initiatives across 5 continents, including serving as Chief Learning Officer at Udayy, a Silicon Valley-backed edtech startup. At Udayy, she designed the educational architecture and teacher-training infrastructure that delivered live online STEM and language learning to thousands of children across India. Now based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Lian continues to support equitable education initiatives by serving on the boards of two local non-profit organisations dedicated to accelerating mathematics and literacy skills for underprivileged and bilingual primary school children, in addition to her work at EWOR.
